Delete your Antique Snap account

Delete from inside the app

  1. Open Antique Snap on your phone.
  2. Go to the Settings tab.
  3. Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete Account.
  4. Tap Delete to confirm.

The app confirms that your account has been submitted for deletion. This works the same way whether you only ever used the app anonymously or added an email to back up your collection.

Delete by email

If you already removed the app, or you cannot open it, send an email to [email protected] with the subject Account Deletion Request. Antique Snap does not ask for your name when you sign up, so we need something to find your account by. Include whichever of these you have:

  • The email address you added in the app, if you backed up your collection or logged in.
  • The order number of your subscription, if you ever subscribed. On Google Play it starts with GPA. and is in the receipt email from Google. On an iPhone it is the order ID in the receipt email from Apple.

If you never added an email and never subscribed, your account is not linked to anything we can look up from the outside. In that case the in-app option above is the only reliable way, so please use it before you uninstall the app.

We reply to confirm once the deletion is done.

What gets deleted

  • Your account, including the email address and password if you added them
  • Every photo you uploaded for identification
  • Your scan history and the identification results saved with it
  • Your collection
  • Your settings (currency, language, timezone) and your onboarding answers
  • The reference we keep to your device so the app can restore your account after a reinstall

What we keep, and for how long

  • Feedback and corrections you sent from the app may be kept after deletion, but only with the link to your account removed, so it can no longer be traced back to you. We use it to improve identifications.
  • Records the law requires us to keep, for example for fraud prevention or a legal dispute, are kept only for as long as that requirement lasts.
  • Purchase records stay with Google Play or Apple, since they handle all billing. We never had your payment details in the first place.

Deletion is completed within 30 days of your request. Copies held in backups or by the services that process data for us are removed on their normal cycle within the same period. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone: a deleted collection cannot be restored.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription

Google Play and Apple handle billing, so a subscription keeps renewing until you cancel it with them, even after your account is gone. Cancel it first:

  • Android: open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, pick Antique Identifier & Value (our name on Google Play) and tap Cancel subscription.
  • iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, pick Antique Snap and tap Cancel Subscription. The cancellation page has more detail.

Questions

If something here is unclear, or you want only part of your data removed, for example a few photos rather than the whole account, write to [email protected]. Single scans can also be deleted one by one from your history in the app. The full details on what we collect and why are in the privacy policy.
